The Chief Minister Skill Development Program for the Transgender Community, launched under the Chief Minister’s Skilled Punjab Initiative “Pehchan”, is a landmark effort to promote social inclusion, dignity, and economic empowerment. This program is designed to create equal opportunities for members of the transgender community by equipping them with practical, in-demand skills that open doors to sustainable livelihoods.
Starting from 1st January 2026, the program will offer free six-month skill development training across Punjab. It aims to focus on market-relevant trades such as performing arts, beauty services, domestic tailoring, culinary arts, and information technology. A unique feature of this initiative is its inclusive approach, which actively involves Gurus and other transgender individuals as trainers, fostering a sense of ownership, representation, and community-led growth.
Eligible applicants must be residents of Punjab, identify as members of the transgender community, and be above 18 years of age. Participants will receive numerous benefits, including free admission, a monthly stipend of PKR 5,000, free on-the-job training, and free tool kits to support their professional journey.

Training sessions will be conducted in Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Khanpur, and Muridke, ensuring that opportunities reach communities across the province.
The last date to apply is 20th December 2025. Interested individuals can apply online at PSDF | PehchanCM’s Skill Development Program for Transgenders or contact the PSDF Helpline at 0800-48627 (HUNAR) for more information.
