LAHORE: International Women’s Day 8th March was celebrated across Punjab through seminars, discussions and awareness events organized by the Women Development Department Punjab and the Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department Punjab in collaboration with various NGOs.
The events brought together government officials, civil society representatives and social activists to highlight the importance of women’s empowerment, gender equality and protection of women’s rights.
Speakers emphasized the vital role of women in social and economic development and stressed the need for equal opportunities in education, employment and leadership.
The events concluded with a call for continued collaboration between government institutions, civil society and community organizations to advance women’s empowerment in Punjab.
