
Lahore: The Punjab government has officially launched the Chief Minister IT Internship Programme, aimed at providing practical training and financial assistance to IT and computer science graduates across the province.
Under the initiative, selected graduates will undertake a five-month internship with a monthly stipend of Rs 50,000. Interns will be placed in leading software houses, where they will gain hands-on experience, develop market-relevant skills, and work with the latest technologies. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn directly from industry experts and professionals.
Eligible candidates — residents of Punjab holding a four-year degree in IT or Computer Science — can apply online at CM IT Internship
Speaking at the launch, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said the provincial government is committed to transforming Punjab into a regional hub for information technology. She described the Nawaz Sharif IT City as a “game-changing project” that will open new avenues for innovation, employment, and economic growth in the province.
The internship programme is part of the government’s broader vision to empower youth, strengthen Pakistan’s digital economy, and foster collaboration between academia and the tech industry.
