Lahore: Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department Punjab has launched the “Assistive Devices & Wheelchair” mobile application on the Google Play Store to facilitate Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) across the province.
Developed under the direction of Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Mr. Sohail Shoukat Butt, the app provides an easy and transparent digital platform for the registration and tracking of assistive device requests.
Speaking at the launch, Minister Sohail Shoukat Butt said that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to empowering Persons with Disabilities through technology.
“This app will make the registration process more transparent, efficient, and accessible, ensuring timely assistance for every eligible individual,” he stated.
Through the app, field officers and Assistant Directors can register applicants and monitor cases in real time, while PWDs can also submit and track their requests directly without visiting government offices.
The department has urged all field officers to download the app and guide PWDs in their districts for smoother registration and service delivery.
