LAHORE: Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department Punjab Director General Dr Shahinshah Faisal Azim directed the officers concerned to accelerate progress on IT initiatives and take necessary measures to align the existing system with modern requirements.
He said that effective use of digital technology and Artificial Intelligence can further improve service delivery, data management and monitoring system, ensuring timely access of services to the deserving people.
DG Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal issued these directions while chairing a meeting regarding upgradation of existing databases and portals of department on Saturday.
The meeting reviewed the current status, performance and ongoing IT initiatives to make various databases and online portals of the department more effective, modern and user-friendly. Matters related to improving digital records, streamlining data management system and facilitating easy access to information regarding various services and welfare programs of the department were discussed in detail.
The officers and focal persons from Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department participated in the meeting.
