LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Punjab, Sohail Shoukat Butt chaired an important departmental meeting to review ongoing programs and enhance collaboration with international organizations.
The meeting was attended by Director General Social Welfare Punjab Dr. Shahinshah Faisal Azim, along with other senior officers of the department. A comprehensive briefing was given to the provincial minister on various initiatives currently being implemented by the Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department.
During the session, special focus was placed on partnerships with international organizations working for the welfare of women, children, and persons with disabilities(PWDs). The minister directed officials to further strengthen coordination and make these collaborations more effective and result-oriented.
Emphasizing improved institutional mechanisms, Sohail Shoukat Butt instructed the department to appoint a focal person for streamlined engagement with international partners. He also called for the digitization of communication and coordination processes to ensure efficiency and transparency.
The provincial minister reiterated the government’s commitment to modernizing the Social Welfare Department, stating that reforms would be accelerated in line with contemporary requirements.
“We will expand cooperation with international organizations to better serve vulnerable segments of society,” he added.
