According to official notifications issued by the School Education Department (SED) Punjab and the Higher Education Department (HED) Punjab, all educational institutions will now remain closed every Friday. Classes will be conducted from Monday through Thursday.

Under the revised schedule, single-shift schools will operate from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm. For double-shift institutions, the morning session will run from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, followed by an afternoon session from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

Officials stated that the decision aims to optimize academic productivity while addressing administrative and logistical considerations. The move is expected to impact millions of students and educators across the province.
