PPSC Completes Second-Largest Recruitment Drive Since 1937

LAHORE: The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has released its Annual Performance Report, highlighting the completion of the second-largest recruitment exercise in the Commission’s history since its establishment in 1937.

According to Deputy Director Syed Kazim Muqaddas Kazmi, a total of 581 requisitions were finalized during 2025, resulting in the filling of 13,195 posts across various government departments. During the year, 707,853 applications were scrutinized, and written examinations were conducted accordingly.

Under the leadership of Chairman Lt-Gen (retd) Muhammad Abdul Aziz, the Commission introduced significant reforms aimed at making the recruitment process more transparent, efficient, and timely.

As part of the recruitment drive, 10,576 candidates were recommended for appointment. This included 618 candidates under the women quota, 116 under the minority’s quota, and 92 persons with disabilities, reflecting the Commission’s commitment to inclusive recruitment.

Chairman Aziz stated that PPSC has elevated recruitment standards by ensuring transparency, merit-based selection, and prompt decision-making, which has helped strengthen public confidence in the institution.

He further added that the Commission will continue to enhance merit-driven recruitment through the adoption of modern mechanisms and sustained institutional reforms.
