LAHORE: The Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) and Ameer-ud-Din Medical College (AMC) have finalised all arrangements for their annual convocation, scheduled to be held on February 7 at the PINS Auditorium, Lahore General Hospital.
A total of 171 graduates will be awarded degrees, while 128 outstanding students will be honoured with medals in recognition of their academic excellence during the ceremony.
The final preparations were reviewed during an Academic Council meeting, presided over by Principal PGMI/AMC Prof. Dr. Farooq Afzal. Addressing the meeting, he emphasised that, in line with the austerity policy of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the convocation will be organised within the hospital premises instead of a private venue.
He noted that this decision reflects the institution’s commitment to the responsible use of public resources while ensuring that the convocation remains a dignified and memorable occasion for graduating students and their families.
