Parent-Teacher Meetings To Be Held In Punjab Colleges

LAHORE: Directorate of Public Instructions (Colleges), Punjab has directed all public sector colleges across the province to hold a Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) on January 22, 2026.

According to an official notification issued by the DPI Colleges Punjab Dr Syed Ansar Azhar, the primary objective of the PTMs is to share the results of December tests with parents and guardians, discuss students’ academic performance, and identify areas requiring improvement.

The notification further states that during the meetings, certificates will also be distributed to position holders of the December tests. This initiative aims to recognize students’ hard work and achievements and encourage healthy academic competition among students.

Principals of public sector colleges have been instructed to ensure the smooth conduct of the meetings and the distribution of certificates. The Directorate has also directed that pictorial evidence of the events be shared with the office.

Moreover, all Directors, Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors, and academic focal persons have been instructed to visit the Parent-Teacher Meetings in person to monitor and support the process.

The Directorate emphasized that active cooperation from all concerned is essential to make the initiative successful.
